compl3x
It?s been a while since we?ve heard news about The War Z, the controversial online zombie game that was kind of a mess in just about every possible way. So today?s news is kind of interesting: the folks behind The War Z are changing the game?s name to make it less like that other zombie MMO, DayZ. Now it?s called? Infestation: Survivor Stories, which really does sound a lot less like DayZ. Thanks Roman! http://www.kotaku.com.au/2013/06/remember-the-war-z-now-it-has-a-new-name Changing the name doesn't change the content.

Skiver Veteran Posted June 20, 2013 Veteran Share Posted June 20, 2013 I wish I had more time to play this and people to play it with! This game got a lot of bad press for being released before it was truly ready but overall I still like it and the devs "seem" to listen to the community and are always trying to work on bringing in the missing features etc.

The Evil Overlord
??? It had a hint of a rant in your post, ;) I remember the game vaguely, Felt like that failed attempt at an 8 player resident evil game that was on an early console I forget which so I wasn't interested at the time God, now I feel old. Outbreak? Although I thought that was just single player with multiple characters involved.

I remember when this game came out awhile back and it was quite the cluster######. I thought some other people might be interested to know what was going on with it. The_Decryptor Veteran Posted June 20, 2013 Veteran Share Posted June 20, 2013 Normally when people get caught running a scam they drop it and run, interesting to see these guys sticking with it. PsychD 1 Share
DrunknMunky Veteran Posted June 20, 2013 Veteran Share Posted June 20, 2013 This is exactly why I don't read Kotaku. They've completely skipped the reason why it was renamed. It's not an attempt to sucker people into buying it because of the negative press. They were forced to because of a conflicting copyright name. The most obvious guess being World War Z releasing next week in cinemas. It's also not news, they mentioned this months ago. Good ol' Kotaku

illage3
To be honest neither Day Z or the War Z have even interested me. I'm not a huge MMO player so I prefer State of Decay :)
