Second:

when i power on this macbook pro i see iDisk and when i click on it i get an error " You iDisk is not available because connecting to the iDisk server failed"  if i am doing a clean install of the new OS will it fix this?  cause the hard drive is only showing 21gb when its atleast 150gb.

Easiest way if you have the install image on a USB stick is to hold alt while booting and boot off the USB stick. (Insert it while the mac is off)

Next select disk utility and erase the hdd (THIS WILL DELETE ALL YOUR FILES)

Next create a new partition in disk utility (click the plus icon) it will fill the HDD. Click apply

When this has finished quit disk utility and select "reinstall mountain lion" with your new Partition as the install drive. Reboot and your mac will be fine.

There is no idisk any more - it has nothing to do with doing a clean install.
