CoolerMaster HAF 912 PC case and dust question

Recommended Posts

Greetings,

I recently bought a new Coolermaster HAF 912 PC case after some exhausting research. This research paid off because, at least in it's price range, this is the best case I have ever used or ever seen.

That said, it seems one of the reasons they achieve such great "High Air Flow" is my eliminating dust filtering on several fan inputs. Those being pretty much all case fan inputs. There are 2 120mm fans in the bottom front, one on the left panel door and one on top.

Ultimately my question is where can I get some type of filtering material such as some fine netting material. I looked on Google for PC Case Filters and got mostly proprietary filters. I just need a good length of some type of filtering material to mod the case. Has anyone done this? What can I try?

Thanks so much,

$60 and no dust filters? What a rip off! Anyways, a quick Google search reveals you have 2 easy options: Dust filter set (expensive) or replace your fans with something like this or standalone nets (just search on amazon for fan filters). Or I guess you could make your own filter out of some fine grain mesh.

Thanks so much,

Wow some great suggestions there. I will most likely go with the can covers.

Thanks!!

I Googled "air filter sheet", at first glance it seems to give good results.

I will try that if those fan covers do not work.

Thanks!
