ashpowell
I don't see how that's any easier/convenient than launching the camera app?
+theblazingangel MVC Posted June 24, 2013 MVC Share Posted June 24, 2013 I don't see how that's any easier/convenient than launching the camera app? Same, I see no point in that what-so-ever, I can access the camera app perfectly quickly as it is, the view provided by this is so small and you've got no access to camera settings. :/ In related news, something I did discover fairly recently and by accident though is that you can access the camera from the lock screen. I have a password on mine, so instead of entering that, I press the 'back' button to dismiss the keyboard, swipe downwards from near the top (but not the bar at the very top) and a white page border will appear, you can then swipe the page left and you've access to the camera. A bit of a messy way imo, but could be useful since I don;t need to unlock my device to take a pic. After playing around a bit more, if you manage to swipe sideways from just the right spot (top right/left corners) you can switch pages more easily without the faff I just mentioned. tsupersonic
I don't see how that's any easier/convenient than launching the camera app? The fact that you don't have to stop what you're doing (say using the internet app), and drag down the notification bar to take a pic. Of course this wouldn't work in a app like a game where it's typically full screen.

Roger H. Veteran Posted June 24, 2013 Veteran Share Posted June 24, 2013 Moved to Android Pretty sweet addition (remember folks, if a feature is there, doesn't mean you have to use it!)
