i was just looking at this on reddit, there is also a stream support twitter that said not to update half life 2 because there was an error in it.

I think the anticipation is so high that any game released couldn't possibly live up to that anticipation.

Diablo 3...

:argh:   :rainbow:

There was a 3.7 GB or something update to Half Life 2 yesterday. Some people say it's a language pack but 3.7GB for a language pack it's highly unlikely since it's near as much as the whole Half Life 2 game. Other people say it's for the card thing but again 3.7 GB for that highly unlikely.

Might be related to the announcement of a new game. Or simply a fail by Valve.

It was neither of those things. It was half life 2 being moved over to the steam pipe distribution system.

If HL3 did come out I would have to go back and play through HL2 again first. It has been so many years I forget what happened.

So much for that splitting it into episodes for faster releases idea they had.

"Oh man a joke I wrote for the back page of PCG has been taken up by Gaf as HL3 evidence:"

Fail, its not real.  Apprently the last page of the PC Gamer magazine is frequently used as a Joke page.  The writer of said joke has posted on his twitter feed laughing that its being takin seriously.

An image, for the lazy:

This is why I don't get my hopes up anymore for a Valve game (unless it's officially announced).

I think Valve transitioned to

'we have hats and games with funny robots that try to kill you'

instead of

'we make serious immersive and revolutionary science fiction first person shooter games'

Doh :( I thought it was finally it. Oh well.

There's still what seems to be a little ARG starting up in TF2 with these Summer Claim Checks.
