Pink dolphin dazzles in Brazil

Recommended Posts

Tourist Michel Watson found this pink dolphin making a splash in Brazil. The unusual creature, which hides deep in the Rio Negro river, was spotted leaping out of the Amazonian water brandishing its bizarre bright bubblegum color. Weighing in at nearly 300 pounds, the curious animal, known as an Amazon Pink River Dolphin, looked unusually agile as it rose above the waves.

What gives him that unusual coloring?

too much pink salmon ?

First pic looks shopped. Why/how is it's mouth twisted that way?

I think he encountered a large ship propeller.

It kinda reminds me of deranged male genitalia.

Snout does look like 2 erect penises.

Maybe from the beta-carotene in shrimp and other shellfish. That's how these guys get their coloration:

Pelican fly! Come on, pelican!

I think it's because the camera picture capture rate is too slow to keep up with fast movement.
