Rippleman
Shares of Canada?s major phone companies slumped today as analysts warned a potential entry into Canada by Verizon Communications Inc. could ?disrupt the Canadian wireless market.? Verizon is pushing forward with its efforts to expand into Canada?s $19-billion wireless market, putting an initial offer on the table for Wind Mobile and starting talks with Mobilicity. source: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-on-business/international-business/us-business/verizon-offers-700-million-for-wind/article12815327/ This is great news to Canadians, prices have come down HUGE in the last couple years but more competition the better I think. Its also a nice kick in the butt for the big 3 (Telus, Rogers, and Bell) who have been basically alone in the market. Time to quit being babies having the government protect them and go out and play with the big boys. By the way, they are already crying.
