What % of Windows revenue comes from user OS upgrades?

With this new rapid release cycle Microsoft is adopting, it would cause a lot of fragmentation if they charge money for yearly versions of Windows.

If the money made from user upgrades is negligible enough, I think they should start releasing every upgrade for free and rely on OEM/Enterprise subscriptions and the Windows Store.

From the sounds of their current plans, yearly updates will be free. Only major releases will cost money. (8.1, 8.2, etc will be free, 9 will cost)
