Following a successful Kickstarter that received more than $5.7 million, the Veronica Mars movie has released this first on-set photo featuring Kristen Bell.

The series, from creator Rob Thomas, starred Bell as the titular Mars, a young student who, growing up with a detective for a father, moonlit as a private investigator. The series ran for three seasons, transitioning Mars from high school to college.

The show always looked like a teen drama to me, never really got me interested.

I like the main actress thought. I might just give the movie a go :)

Give the show a shot. I thought the same as you before I watched it. The first season is dark. There is some amount of bubble gum on the surface but the root of the first season is a murder and a rape. Any lightness just makes a dark under current better. The first season is neo-noir. Think Bogart-Bacall with Bogey as a tough chick.
