Linksys EA4500

Recommended Posts

I just installed a Linksys EA4500 router. After the set up I can get onthe the internet but I can't see the network.

I tried to reset up the router again with disk that came with the router, but still the same problem.

I noticed my router's IP address has changed from 192.168.x.x to 10.xx.x.xx, can't remember all the numbers.

That's the only thing that has changed.

Thanks fo any help

What are your machines running? Windows or OS X? Windows XP or 7?

Odds are a reboot will get them talking since you now have a new "master browser" so they'll need to register with that.

Did you set static (manual) IP addresses and not DHCP (automatic)?

Change the Linksys device back to the 192.x subnet and see if that solves the problem?

Make sure you're on a public network. And I'm not sure if those new link says had some ki d of protection crap that prevented un-authorized sharing or something. I replaced min with a asks black knight since the link says didn't allow me the controls needed over QoS port forwarding and other advanced stuff. Great routers for non techies, unfortunately, they haved decided that people like me wo loved linksys and are techies can no longer buy them.
