+Warwagon MVC Posted June 30, 2013 MVC Share Posted June 30, 2013 For years Walmart had a stupid simple blood pressure in the pharmacy area, not sure how many of you ever used it. You would walk up to. Put your arm in and hit start. 1 min later it was finsihed BAM! There is your blood pressure reading. This has now been replaced with the Solo Heath Station and it ****ES ME OFF every time I use it. First you sit down and put your arm into the machine. Then some dumb bitch starts talking to you on the screen asking you to press your selection. So I press blood pressure. Then it asks me to enter my date of birth. At this point I CAN'T GO TO THE NEXT SCREEN UNTIL i DO!!. I enter it and press next. I can't remember what it says after that but I think there is one more step. After that next step i can't remember it starts to take the blood pressure. While it takes the blood pressure I get to watch a wonderful ad and then she keeps talking to you. When it finishes the dumb bitch still keeps talking to you. On the next screen she asks you how you want to get your results, via email or on screen. JUST SHOW ME MY ****ING RESULTS!!! I'm now sure how many people here have tried the new solo heath machine. Personally I'm annoyed Evey time I use it. In this case new is not better and it feels like change for the sake of change. JustGeorge
Those things aren't known to be accurate anyway. My doctor said they're better than nothing. You really need to to be sat down and relaxed for roughly 15min before taking your readings as its going to be higher than normal if you just go in and plop down on the thing. Ideally, your BP should be taken at night, while you sleep. I get what you're saying though. Thanks to ObamaCare, it'll be the closest thing most of us can afford soon.
