Hey guys

Me and my brothers are looking to maybe getting an android tablet for my dad. He doesn't need anything too powerful he'll only be doing a few things really. Mainly some puzzles like sudokus and wordsearches, watching you tube videos and a little browsing. There's no point in forking out for an acer or lenovo tablet. However I don't know much about the budget brands and the thing I'm most concerned about is reliability and how long it will last before going kaput! Can you offer any suggestions. Looking to spend up to £150 for something with a screen around 8-9 inches. There are a lot at this price point but like I said I don't know which brands will be reliable or not.

Thanks

Nook HD+.  9" tablet.  If you don't like the stock ROM you can put Cyanogen 10.1 on it (Android 4.2.2).  Doesn't have any cameras or 3g/4g being the only potential drawbacks (personally I don't care).  http://uk.nook.com/t...ts/nook-hd-plus

I looked at that but it's a little small for my dad. He'd need something 8 inches or above for usability (I know 1 inch doesn't seem like much but it can make a big difference). The 10 inch is way out of budget especially considering what he'd use it for.
