edcracknell
I just installed Windows 8.1, and iTunes and Spotify have stopped working properly. I re-installed them both but still no joy. They appear to work perfectly other than the playing the music part. They recognise that you have selected a track, but then it doesn't play. Any ideas gratefully received. I should add, sound works fine generally.

singularity87
Have you tried Windows Media Player or another application such as VLC, or Modern apps? If it's affecting both it might well be a library or a driver issue.
McKay
I use VLC regularly, sometimes WMP and Spotify. I also use the occasional Metro App.

No problems with Spotify here - either playing from the cloud OR from my local library (8.1 Pro Preview x64).
