Controller for PC?

Recommended Posts

So I got a new PC, because I want to try that instead of the new xbox.  Mostly First Person Shooters.  I have Battlefield 3 for xbox, and want to get into it on PC.  W,A,S,D  Isn't working too well just yet,  is there any controllers I can use and use that?

I will have to check that out too bad I can't use one of my wireless ones,  but they're not blue tooth,  so I guess I'll have three xbox remotes haha.  Does anyone know can I set up the controller similar to what I have the 360 set up as?

I may be mistaken but I thought there were wireless 360 adapters for the PC so you would just need one of those.

I think e you can also find them on eBay.

I don't think MS actually sells the dongles separately.

I own a Nyko Airflo EX. It has a fan and can blow cold air onto your hands whilst you're gaming which is actually quite nice if you game for long periods of time

+1 for wired  xbox controller, IMO they can't be beat ( except for that nasty + controller which has fixed in the "newer version").

I think i'm going to start using the usb xbox 360 controller once my breakaway replacement cable comes in the mail.

With regard to 3rd party wireless dongles I would imagine that they would work just fine and possibly in some cases better than the genuine one.

I use a third party 'knock-off' "X360" USB wireless controller dongle and it works fine once you get the drivers installed correctly. It isn't plug-and-play though and the instructions it came with did not work for me. I had to find help online on how to install. Once setup it seems to work just fine with the Microsoft driver setup.

If you don't already have a controller, I suggest buying the MS package with controller+dongle. Otherwise you can save some bucks and get a generic one.
