Does anyone know can I set up the controller similar to what I have the 360 set up as?

+Jester124 Subscriber² Posted July 8, 2013 Subscriber² Share Posted July 8, 2013 you can buy a wireless Xbox controller with a PC dongle also. Phouchg
That dongle comes with every wireless gamepad or must be bought separately? Edit: I see it obviously comes with this one. I'm stupid :pinch:

compl3x
I think e you can also find them on eBay. I don't think MS actually sells the dongles separately.
+Jester124 Subscriber² Posted July 9, 2013 Subscriber² Share Posted July 9, 2013 as complex stated, ebay would be a good place. Here's a like to some. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=xbox+360+wireless+adapter&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1311.R4.TR5.TRC1.A0.TRS0&_nkw=xbox+360+wireless+adapter+pc&_sacat=
Noir Angel
I own a Nyko Airflo EX. It has a fan and can blow cold air onto your hands whilst you're gaming which is actually quite nice if you game for long periods of time
Draconian Guppy
+1 for wired xbox controller, IMO they can't be beat ( except for that nasty + controller which has fixed in the "newer version").
Fugi
I think i'm going to start using the usb xbox 360 controller once my breakaway replacement cable comes in the mail. With regard to 3rd party wireless dongles I would imagine that they would work just fine and possibly in some cases better than the genuine one. Shadrack
I use a third party 'knock-off' "X360" USB wireless controller dongle and it works fine once you get the drivers installed correctly. It isn't plug-and-play though and the instructions it came with did not work for me. I had to find help online on how to install. Once setup it seems to work just fine with the Microsoft driver setup. If you don't already have a controller, I suggest buying the MS package with controller+dongle. Otherwise you can save some bucks and get a generic one.

Juguard
So you already have a Xbox360 with at least one controller? Just get the PC wireless adapter, and you can use your current controller that you already have, unless you sold your Xbox360. http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Wireless-Gaming-Receiver-Windows/dp/B000HZFCT2
