spikey_richie
Just spotted that CPU-Z is showing a figure in brackets in the multiplier box: Is this the min and max I can set the multiplier to?
Scorpian8867
Oh dear. That is rather odd. I'm not entirely sure what that means. On mine, it shows up as 7?24, with the current multiplier set to 24. However, I have an unlocked processor that can be set to whatever multiplier I want. Pretty sure Intel's K-series are the same way. I doubt it's the max range, but I'm not entirely sure what else that could represent. Has that always been there?
ashpowell
Have you got it on an auto overclock option by any chance?
spikey_richie
Have you got it on an auto overclock option by any chance? Negative, all the OC settings are hard-set.

xendrome
Yeah appears to be the min/max multi. for the CPU. Probably just informational.
dffoxpro
Those numbers are the fid and vid (frequency and voltaje identifier) also with the did and an equation you can find the multipliers of any step of your cpu. The multiplier AFAIK is something like this: ((FID[magic equation]VID) / 2^DID = Actual multiplier) * central clock = Actual velocity of your cpu. DID normaly is zero, when your cpu use low velocity steps or thermal trottled the did=1... this apply both AMD and INTEL cpus overclocked or locked.
