Sony reveals its PS4 plans for San Diego Comic-Con 2013
by John Callaham
Microsoft has already confirmed it will let attendees of next week's San Diego Comic-Con play demos of upcoming Xbox One games. Not to be outdone, Sony has also announced it will give the 125,000 projected Comic-Con fans a chance to get some hands on time with upcoming games for the PlayStation 4.
Sony's PlayStation blog says Comic-Con will be the first time that members of the general public will be able to play PS4 games (Sony did have PS4 demos at E3 2013, but that was a trade event that was technically not open to the public). The specific games at Sony's PlayStation booth on the exhibit floor will be DRIVECLUB, Knack and Octodad: Dadliest Catch.
In addition, a number of upcoming games for the PS Vita will be playable at Comic-Con like Killzone Mercenary, The Walking Dead and more. Upcoming PS3 games such as BEYOND: Two Souls, Gran Turismo 6 and the console version of Diablo III will be shown at Comic-Con as well.
Sony will also be taking part in a few panels dealing with video games at Comic-Con next week, including one on The Walking Dead game series. However, it looks like Sony won't be holding a specific panel on the PS4 itself at the show, which is something Microsoft is doing for the Xbox One.
