moeburn
In Windows 8, the msconfig startup tab was replaced by the Task Manager startup tab. But there are several programs running on startup on my PC (logitech updater, adobe updater, EVERY FARKING PROGRAM NEEDS AN UPDATER TO RUN ON BOOT!) that are not listed in this startup tab. Does anyone know which registry keys were left out of the task manager startup tab?

moeburn
Look in the startup folder instead of the start-up tab? What, you mean there's another startup folder aside from the two Start Menu "Startup" folders that the task manager lists in the "startup" tab? moeburn
it does? oh ignore me then  Yeah, but it seems to be missing some registry Run keys. I actually went through the registry and did a search for every key titled "Run", and I found a couple that listed the aforementioned Adobe and Logitech updaters, deleted their startup entries, but they are still running on startup?! wtf? some other program must be calling them... yowanvista
You should be able to disable them in services.msc
