New headset, can't find dubstep aiff files :(

Recommended Posts

So I bought a new pair of Astro A40s and I wanted to legally download free dubstep in aiff. I cant' find any anywhere :( I acutally can't find much music to listen to in aiff at all even if I wanted to pay for it, but I'd love to just try the headset out by listening to aiff files (I hear the quality is great). Anyone have any ideas? Preferably free legal downloads. I love dubstep.

why aiff? look for music on Lossless format y you want the most quality, try to search for FLAC,APE,TTA,TAK,Wavpack files... if you just want to try music, try Ocremix, they have very nice remixes of various games, most of them are quite good.

Sathenzar, like others have said just grab some other lossless format files. Those cans aren't very good from an audiophile point of view so its not likely you are going to really hear the difference.  Plus those are 150 ohm so you're probably going to need a pretty decent headphone amp to really get the sound out of them. Don't get me wrong,  they're a decent gaming headset but not a stellar set of headphones.

Meh, you could use 64bit mp3 for dub step and not notice a difference :p

Clever... since the artifacts may even be considered as an improvement :D

How many dubstep fans does it  take to clean a bathroom?

100

1 to clean the bathroom and 99 to tell you again and again and again how dirty it supposedly was.

AIFF is uncompressed PCM like WAV. There's no quality difference between it and any other compressed lossless format like FLAC or APE: it's exactly the same data encoded in different ways.
