What launch game are you looking forward to the most?

Recommended Posts

For me, I'm looking forward to Killer Instinct. It was literally the day before E3 presser and I told my friend that I was hoping for Killer Instinct (I really want Shenmue, but I'll probably sh*t my pants if that happened) and then it happen and I literally yelled at my TV monitor. I'm going to buy that and Watch Dogs.

What about you?

That's a hard choice. I'd say Killer Instinct and Quantum Break. I'm interested in others, but these stand out. KI3 because of what I have seen about the game and Quantum Break because I'm a fan of Remedy and this looks like another fairly unique game from them.

Probably going to get some slack for it, but its my favorite kinect game. lol.

Dead Rising for the new kinect features and fable (I'm confident it'll be coming out to XB One some time)

I have no idea what all is launch, but probably Forza 5 and Kinect Sports: Rivals.  Anything that comes out before the X1 I'm likely to grab on PC....though I'm not entirely sure.

Grand Theft Auto 5 is my current one
For next gen: Has to be Tom Clancys The Division and Watch Dogs.

GTA V is not coming to next-gen consoles. Ubisoft are making Watch dogs for current and next-gen and a new open world IP similar to GTA to the next gen consoles. We may not see GTA till GTA VI for the Xbox One and PS4.

I don't think i can think of any. The ones i'm interested in are coming later.

I suppose Forza 5, i hope there is enough in the game.

The closer the console launches are getting. The more i want to upgrade my PC instead.

I don't believe that quantum break is a launch game though.

That's true. I guess I was thinking more about the entire lineup announced so far.

Of what is due day one, I would say Dead Rising 3.

Killer Instinct isn't being developed by Rare, just so everyone is aware. Also, so far all the launch games are pretty underwhelming, the only game I'm looking forward to is GTA V and that's not a launch title.

Very true, but everyone should do their research on the actual team working on it and their progress. The guys are actually veterans in the fighting game market.

Double Helix Games are the guys making Killer Instinct for the Xbox One, they have no fighting game experience.

They made these games; G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Silent Hill: Homecoming, MX vs ATX: Reflex, Green Lantern, Battleship and Front Mission Evolved.

Microsoft owns the rights to the Killer Instinct trademark and requested game developers who were interested in making it to showcase what they would bring to it.

Rare studios were one of the teams that applied for the contract but Microsoft chose Double Helix Games, According to sources what Double Helix Games wanted to bring into Killer Instinct blew away the competing game developers.

I hope it wasn't just the in-app purchases which swayed Microsoft's choice.

You must not have looked at the team working on the game. I wasn't referring to Double Helix the Studio, I'm talking about the actual people making the game. There are guys with fighting game experience. Again look for yourself if you don't believe me.

Referring to in-app purchases, are you talking about the option to either buy the full game or just get the characters you want? Man, that story that tried to pass the game off as some F2P monster really stuck with a lot of people. It just wasn't true.
