android Issues with gmail app and sync

For some odd reason whenever I try to log into one of my gmail accounts through either the gmail app or sync I can't log into them, however when I log into them via the browser I am able to log right in. I get an error that says invalid password when logging into the gmail accounts through the app and accounts and sync. What could be giving me this problem?

yes I did change my password. Does that affect this somehow?

Yes, you now need to reset your sync info ;)
