Hum Posted July 20, 2013 Share Posted July 20, 2013 Police in a St. Louis County town say a woman was found dead inside an unmarked police car.The woman, 41-year-old Leslie Wehmer, had been reported missing on Saturday. She left her home in Breckenridge Hills Thursday night or early Friday. An officer reporting for work Monday found her body in the car.The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the car had not been driven since July 4 because officer was in training last week.Police Chief Perry Hopkins says police believe Wehmer crawled into the unlocked car sometime after she left home during an argument with her boyfriend. She was intoxicated when she left the home. The police station is less than half a mile from her home.The cause of death has not been determined.Wehmer`s uncle, who was not named in the article on Fox2Now.com, says family members are puzzled as to how Wehmer could have ended up in back of a police vehicle if it is in fact her body.Chief Hopkins said it is against policy to leave vehicles unlocked.Hopkins says there were no signs of trauma to the body.The remains have been taken to the medical examiner in an effort to determine the cause of death.source Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
