The country's pretty much ruined now under Tory rule. They're continuing their privatisation crusade off from Mrs. Thatcher's reign; this time round, it's the fire brigade, Royal Mail (even Thatcher herself said she wouldn't dare sell off the Queen's head), and worst of all, the NHS. If you're willing to read a wall of text, here's what they've managed to do in just three years.

Ruined because of Tory rule, or ruined because they're still trying to fix the mess Blair and Brown made? Remember, Labour are the ones who left the Tories that famous note "There's no money left".

History shows us one undeniable fact. Whenever Labour get a turn in office, they ALWAYS increase bureaucracy, they ALWAYS increase the cost of running the country, and they ALWAYS increase national debt. In then takes the next lot at least 2 terms to fix it again.

As for selling things off; the governments job isn't running business, it's running the country. Let businesses run business. Also, I don't read diddly squat that come from facebook. It's nothing more than self-opinionated ********* that isn't fit to wipe my backside with if it were actually printed on paper.

As a friend of mine recently said: "The only thing Facebook is good for is to demonstrate just how many people are not quite right in the head." Personally, I think she was being rather generous...

Under current Labour, yes, it would probably be just as bad, as thanks to Tony Blair, the Labour party are now just Tories in red ties; the only difference being we'd probably still have a public NHS, and better treatment of people with disabilities or mental health issues, not forcing some of them to commit suicide like what's happening right now.

Hyperbolic article is full of hyperbole.

If people are physically capable of working, they should work.  Being stuck in a chair, as much as that's really crap, doesn't mean you can't be a productive member of society.  But leeches will be leeches and they just LOOOOVE to over-exaggerate how they "evil gubbmint" is out to get them.

Doesn't matter who we voted for, we'd have ended up with s**t any way.

I agree with the other members, it's not about pornography its the beginning of censorship of the internet in the UK. I still cannot believe that the UK of all places allowed this crap to go through.

This isn't about leechers it's about screwing over the disabled and the working as the Tories can't cut pensions which make up 40% of the Benefits expenditure and the Last Labour government already sold off most of the family silver, this isn't about the government running business, it's about the Tories selling of our assest that are vital to our country, they sold our blood supply which was making a profit to Bain capital, there currently trying to sell off the militarys oil supply and piplines which enable it to transport oil quickly around the country, this is the one thing I absolutely ######ing hated about Labour was how they were always trying to make a quick bit of money even if it cost us more in the future.

the DWPs total expenditure for 2011-2012 was £166 Billion, they could cut All benefits for the Disabled and scrap the dole altogether and it'd barely make a dent in the deficit.

£74 Billion is spent on Pensions   Risen by 3.7%

£16 Billion is spent on Housing Benefit     Risen by 5.2%

£11 Billion is spent on Disability Living Allowance  Risen by 3.3%

£7   Billion is spent on Income Support    Cut by 13.2%

£5  Billion is spent on Incapacity Benefit   Cut by 13.3%

£4 Billion is spent on Jobseekeres Allowance Risen by 7.6%

And theres around 30 benefits to Subsidize workers wage, this list was before the cut to Housing Benefit.

If we wanted to save money we should stop giving ATOS £160Million a year, ATOS outsources the PIP tests (Personal Independence Payment) back to the NHS, so were paying ATOS to outsource a contract back to the NHS genius, theres only one reason to give ATOS the contract over the NHS and thats to screw the disabled, even the government admitted ATOS was unacceptably poor.

All of these work programs have been a joke were just pissing away billions on programs that have been a failure, hell one of the best ways they've found to get people "back into work" is to give people £200 who found a job to say the program helped them.

£5bn Work Programme 'worse than doing nothing'
Just one in 10 people have been helped back to work by the government's £5billion flagship scheme leading to accusations that the programme is "worse than doing nothing".
