Picked up a new LCD screen to fit into my laptop and I have some strange behaviour.

When I first hooked it up it was bright green like this

After some reading online I thought it might be a stuck pixel instead of dead. Massaged it and it disappeared so I thought awesome.

Restarted the laptop and it was there again bright green, but this time it started fading as the laptop booted. Once I was back to the desktop it looked like it wasn't there. I changed my wallpaper to white, and then I could see what appeared to be a dark red pixel. Obviously on the black background I couldn't see it when it was this colour, and earlier on when it changed from green had assumed it was gone. Tried massaging it again but it wouldn't go away.

Every time I restart the laptop though it goes bright green again like above, and then fades to dark red.

Anyone have any idea what it is? Never seen a pixel behave like this. Will upload a video shortly to show it starting bright green and then fading on boot.
