Not only would I plan on stopping 9/11, but I would bring my newest laptop with Windows 7 AND the ISO of Windows 8.1; as well as the iPhone 5. I would then try to get a meeting with Bill Gates and offer Windows 7 and 8.1 to him for.... a million dollars a year for the rest of my life? I'd then tell him I have the key to Apple's dominance over the next 15 years, and tell him if he wants to see the iPhone, and have it and backwards engineer it, it would be another 2 million a year for the rest of my life. I'd do this for two reasons, one the cash. Two, and most importantly, it would help push software and hardware up by 13 years. This would allow for more innovation frankly better technology quicker. I wouldn't meet myself, but would split the cash in half and put it into his account. I would choose Microsoft because, even though they were evil, I think they are the less evil in 2013. Of course, I may offer Apple to see all that stuff as well. I just would love to see Gates face when I say... yeah, the next OS is Vista, and it will be a flop. I'm sure I would do more, but I just thought of this last night in bed. What would you do if you can go back in time and bring a backpack? And why? (Minus abusing my future knowledge for financial gain :rofl: ) How would you stop 9/11 exactly? And how would you prevent yourself from being locked away for eternity by the US Government trying to explain how you knew. Until then you'd be a crazy person running the streets screaming what would sound like crazy-talk? Unless you're going to go all "Taken" style and track down the terrorists and murder them one by one? Me? I'd go back to the 20's 30's 40's etc. Go to a Jazz Club in New York someplace and soak in the atmosphere. So now for my real answer: I would love to go back to the late medieval era i.e. the time of Robin Hood. Why? To see if he was actually based on a real person or not. What would I take? Usually I think of really serious things though, like being with my old friends and family, and just changing how life ended up in general. But I guess for light-hearted stuff, I always wanted to bring a Nintendo Wii back to 1995 with a copy of Super Smash Bros Brawl and shock kids because of Sonic and Mario being in the same game. Also wanted to bring my PC to the 90s. Bring some 1980s rock to the 1800's on a portable boombox, take an mp3 player to the era of walkmen. So much to do... There is a mass organization at many levels, when events happen that affect a large number of people.
