Developing... http://www.polygon.com/2013/7/27/4563350/fez-2-canceled-phil-fish-confirms This seems to be a reaction (or tantrum, if you prefer) to comments made by Marcus Beer (the Annoyed Gamer) over on GameTrailers' newest episode of Invisible Walls. He made comments towards Fish and Jonathan Blow, or "BlowFish" as he put it in the video. He responded earlier with a fairly profanity-laden tirade, which I can't post here - search around and you'll find it - but he attracted backlash for this particular (profanity-free) tweet... His Twitter account is now locked, by the way, which is why I'm posting pictures of said tweets. And before anyone points it out, yes, that tweet is a line from Futurama. His Angry Gamer videos aren't about professionalism, its just his opinion and criticism of whatever he decides to review. Its not about contribution to gaming community but entertainment. I personally don't like his videos but it doesn't mean I think what Phil Fish did was the way to go. Phil Fish is a grown man and he did a real life rage quit because someone called him a few names? Fish even replies on twitter to tell Beer to go commit suicide. I wasn't a fan of Fez, so I couldn't care less about Fez II but I still think he will make the game down the track. If you have a legitimate criticism to make, which in this case I don't think he had that, then make it. Honestly, how old is he? Going on a podcast and insulting a guy he's never met. It reflects poorly on GameTrailers to stoop to the lowest common denominator with ###### like this. I'm not the biggest fan of Fish, he seems arrogant and snide, but if some guy I'd never even met (and I don't think Beer has met Blow, either) went on a podcast and insulted me, I would probably tell them to take a long walk off a short cliff too. Yogurtmaster Posted July 28, 2013 Share Posted July 28, 2013 I never really cared for Blowfish. They seemed like they were always against Microsoft and no matter what they did would be enough. I mean every Xbox One can be a dev kit now and we will get more info at gamescom and they ripped into Microsoft for it. They also seemed to treat people like jerks and they were really unkind. I guess when you act that way you get what you get. I played Fez for a few minutes and got bored and went to play some other demos. I honestly thought it was boring. Just my 2 cents Agree fully, Fish is a hot headed idiot a lot of the time making rash decisions simply because he cant control something. However as I say, I cant agree more about these damn opinionists, and the whole "im angry" **** is just a ploy to attract young males and college humour tosspots, because the whole dudebro mentality is what sells games. Im ****ed at Fish and co for this childish and stupid move on a game that is literally one of my all times, but im ****ed at the wider mentalitys that the game industry seems to collect.
