google analytic api?

Question

hello! I am creating a CMS system for a client,

everything is going smoothly :) BUT we need to add google analytics to it (or some awesome easy to set up one we can embed in the site)....so we have a dash and want to add data to it for our client to view when he logs in sounds simple enough but I was wondering if anyone can work me through the set up of it ? the API is a "duden" to understand :P so yea?

(do not post telling me to use word press or some other pre-built CMS just accept that I am not using one or dont post please)

Collection: https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/

Configuration: https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/config/

Reporting: https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/reporting/

I mean if you actually read the documentation, they have sample code for querying the analytics in Java, PHP, Python & Javascript, should be more than adequate to explain to you what you should be doing.
