Police Sergeant posts nude photos of herself on-line

DAYTONA BEACH, FL -- A Daytona Beach Police Sergeant has resigned after admitting to posting nude pictures of herself online while on-duty.

Sgt. Penny Dane has been in law enforcement for approximately 18 years and has been a sergeant with Daytona Beach police for the past four years.

According to an internal affairs investigation, Sgt. Dane admitted she accessed and sent sexually explicit pictures as part of an online game called "Red Light Center." The game is likened to a virtual sex club and resembles Amsterdam's Red Light district.

The sergeant allegedly admitted to investigators that she e-mailed the images to her lover while on the job.

"It's something in my 26 years in law enforcement that I've never seen," said Daytona Beach Police Chief Mike Chitwood.

Chitwood said he was flabbergasted after viewing the nearly 300 photos and videos that Sgt. Dane accessed using her city-owned computers and internet.

In all, 177 images were found on Dane's office desktop computer, 97 images were found on the laptop inside her marked patrol car and at least 23 of the pics were of the sergeant herself.

"Extremely pornographic in nature, and in several of the photos that we have since discovered, she was in her uniform," said Chief Chitwood.

Chitwood said Sgt. Dane also intentionally turned off the GPS tracking device in her patrol car so no one would know where she was while she got online and accessed the photos for hours, all while she was supposed to be supervising other officers on patrol.

Why would someone even think of doing this? What is humanity coming to?

One person does one stupid thing, it is hardly the fall civilisation as we know it.

Wow... Someone needs to be a bit less uptight...  If the topic upsets you, don't read it.

Why shouldn't she?  Sure, doing it whilst on duty was rather stupid of her, but other than that, her posting nude pics of herself is HER choice and no one else has a right to dictate whether she can or not.

Post nude pics while on duty - fired.

Shoot an unarmed man in front of his own house trying to get into his own car - paid leave.

To be fair, she was neglecting her duties and putting other officers at risk. As for the second incident, I can't say I'm surprised - that seems to be standard operating procedure for police in the US and I'm not even exaggerating.

And that has what to do with this?  I have good grades, great grades actually.  I'm still pretty stupid at times.

So?  Like I said, doing it whilst on duty was stupid, but otherwise, who's business is it?  I see pics of women flashing their parts in uniform all over the net; no one blows a gasket over that.

As long as whatever's going on isn't illegal, people should live their own lives and quit telling other people how to live theirs.

What is it with American's and their "OMGWTFEVILNUDEBODIES!" attitude, anyway?  It's something I've noticed over the years... American's, for some reason, seem WAY more worried about this sort of stuff than just about any other country out there, not counting the middle east... Skin is skin; everyone has it, no one has anything different to anyone else.  Quit being so prudish.
