Just no.  Those features should be in your phone, not in your watch.  Use the watch as an aux display for notifications akin to the Pebbl, but this - no.

this is a great concept and the designs are really nice. Keep it up. Don't mind the loud-mouth's  (Y) The basic design watch looks like something that's i'll get for myself or a family member, like the clean design :)

All the same, it would be very interesting to try.

So basically like the total recall movie from last year when all they had to do is put their hand to their ear and talk?

You call me a loudmouth for voicing my opinion while you voice yours?

Where did I specifically say "Nik Louch is a loudmouth"?  :/ If you think I called you a loudmouth, by all means quote me making direct reference to you, otherwise nah uh.

Who else would it be directed at?  Seeing as he is the only one to reply before you made the comment.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but it seems like there's a pretty good response. They just raised 200k in less than 3 days.

Even if you don't like this iteration, it's certainly pushing smart watch tech further. As far as tech, the only other watch that compares is the Kreyos.. which is crazy thick.. I think it's 13mm. This one's much thinner.

No thanks, I like my watch doing its boring old watch stuff.

I'll use my phone to do the cool new phone stuff.

well for that matter there's hundreds of kickstarter watch campaigns and IMO this watch if Fugly

fugly as hell.

I still don't see me doing those things on such a small screen, but apparently the world dissagrees :)

I understand the concept of Smartwatches; what i don't like is the design of this ones, it looks like those old Timex... i still use my 2004 Swatch Irony though, built to last i say (still the same battery, which for a Swatch is something...amazing ).

Still the Pebble is the only Smartwatch that i think is fashionable while having a nice UX.

agreed, design like these are more "future" like (IMO anyway):

I guess you could wait for the iWatch. :-| But seriously now, this is an interesting new horizon in tech, think about it. When is the last time the biggest names in a certain area of tech have all been "3rd party" (besides Samsung)? Kickstarter has created a new sort of evolution when it comes to innovation. Keep your eyes on it.. it'll be fun to watch unfold. Who knows, some of these companies... like Pebble or HOT may be the next Microsoft or Google in 10 years. Probably not, but Crowd-funding has certainly changed things.

No one is saying it hasn't!  Competition is good.  And how does the watches I posted look anything like an iWatch would?  The second one is even crowd sourced as well! CST-01

I think it's funny/sad that phones get bigger and bigger, and now they're moving the phone functionality into smaller non-phone gadgets.

Eventually the two will merge, and we'll get normal-sized phones again

I know you're not saying that, I'm just excited.

Agreed! Competition is great, but what I'm pointing out is that this time... the competition is coming from different places, places other than Samsung, Sony, Apple, Microsoft, etc.. Not that i'm against that. I'm not old enough to have experienced it, but it kind of feels like Jobs and Wozniak are in the garage again. Sure, it doesn't look that nice, but innovation is coming from the little guy (hence, with this particular watch, it's not incredibly polished). That's what I find exciting.

And yes... the analogy definitely breaks down, but you get my point.
