P7H55-M SI no display - does the CPU need integrated GPU?

Recommended Posts

I am trying to boot a P7H55-M SI and Core i5-750-based system but there is no display.

I understand the P7H55-M SI supports Intel GMA4500.

However, does the CPU need to have an on-board GPU for this to work? (I don't believe the i5-750 does)

If so, I'll just buy the cheapest card I can find to boot the system (the PSU doesn't have that cable you need for high power video cards, whatever it's called).

Are you sure you checked everything else, as RAM, PSU, make sure all wires are connected? I thought all the i3/i5/i7 family, even the 1st gen had an integrated GPU.

Just checked, it doesn't include a GPU :(
