Elliot B.
Recently upgraded my PC so I had lots of hardware left over. Bought a new case (included a new PSU) and GPU (CPU has no on-board GPU) and stuck my old hardware inside. This is the system to sell: CiT Knight case (new, 1 year warranty) Asus P7H55-M SI motherboard Intel Core i5-750 2.66 GHz quad-core CPU 8 GB DDR3 1333 MHz RAM TP-Link TL-WN851ND 300Mbps wireless PCI adapter (unused, 7-month warranty) 500 GB Western Digital 32MB cache hard drive XFX HD 5450 1GB graphics card (new, 1 year warranty) Ubuntu Linux 13.04 pre-installed I was thinking around ?250. Do you think this is a fair price?

GotBored
I'd say its a fair price, but loading it with Ubuntu will make it less sell-able compared to a Windows OS. Where do you plan on selling it? online merchant like eBay or in a physical store? Don't sell it to a pawn shop they'll give barely anything, I think mostly cause a lot of the stuff they re-sell is stolen (Thefts don't usually know product worth) or because people who are in rough situations can't argue over product value much when they need money urgently. Windows 7 Home Premium is ?70, Windows 8 even more - so I can't really add that much on top of the ?210 :( I do have a legal OEM copy of Windows Vista I thought back in 2007 - I guess I could bundle that with it for free? I wasn't sure where to sell it. Maybe on eBay UK (to those who can pick up only to save on postage costs) or at work (I work in a large office, could make a little flyer for the canteen). Try the office first, no seller fees. If it doesnt sell put it on ebay, I've sold off everything I've put on there so far. (Much larger customer base) If your selling on ebay maybe load it with Windows 8 on the 90-day trial?
