Have you looked at the board itself? A lot of times it'll be marked on the board right by the connector which is positive and negative. I'm no electronics expert but I've never seen a system damaged by getting it backwards though, got a 50/50 chance, if it doesn't light up, reverse it and move on.

reversing it won't wreck the board, it just won't work.   If you put it in backwards.. as said above.. turn it around.

Also..for HD Audio Speaker Connector..it's inserted only on half of it's "body" (the 4pin half)..it's ok ?

That speaker connection you got listed on the diagram on the right is the PC speaker that's mounted inside the chassis (if it has one), only has two wires with (usually) two "empties" in between. That connection you're showing on the left is for the front panel audio, two rows and keyed, that's a different thing entirely and your board may or may not have that connector.

Edit: This is where that connector goes, if I got the right manual...

If it has onboard sound card, it will have it.

Well..the case has this cable.. and the motherboard the one on my first post.. what can be done ?

Got it.. but where's the right speaker finally ? :|  Antec One Manual

So I should leave HD Audio unconnected?

Some Antec's dont come with a speaker. (My 1200 v3 didn't.) I see no mention of one in that manual, might not have one. You can always get a cheap PC speaker and attach it inside somehow, but it's entirely optional. (Great for hearing a POST beep if it bombs out, but otherwise useless 99.9% of the time.) Your primary audio will be coming from the back of the case on the motherboard or through the HD audio connector above, depending on your sound system.

So I should leave HD Audio unconnected?

No, go ahead and connect it, even if you don't use it now you may later, just make sure it's plugged into the HD audio jack and not "halfway" on the PC speaker jack. It'll show as disconnected in the Windows audio control panel if that's what it's running. Won't affect the rear jacks.

If you do not need the front audio port, for a headphone or microphone, leave it off, otherwise, attach it.

You mean something like..this?

I have an audigy se on pci..so that HD Audio cable is useless..isn't it ? ;)

Exactly like that.

If you're using that for the audio then yea, I wouldn't bother hooking it up as I'm assuming you're going to disable onboard audio anyway. I'm not 100% positive, but I think some of those Audigy's have that connector too, but check your manual first. If it does you can route the front panel through that instead of the onboard one, again if you even need it. The thing is totally optional, depends on how you're doing your sound system.

The strange thing is on the other system without that "speaker" I hear that beep(verifying ram I quess) on start ;)

Here's the Creative Audigy SE (click to zoom) & I quess this is the port..so connecting HD Audio cable from case to it I'll be able to connect a microphone/speaker on front connectors?

No, that's definitely not it. Looks like a proprietary connector, don't try and force that cable in there. Just tie that HD audio cable off in the case somewhere so it doesn't bump into any fans or something.

Edit: I did find a "patch cable" that'll hook the two together, for example:

http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=83&products_id=21700

Can probably do it yourself too if you're comfortable splicing cables. Obviously if you're not careful you can short something and nuke some of the hardware. Unless you really need it I wouldn't bother. Example:

So no audio on front case connectors..

No speaker for hardware failure..

Antec One Case (2012 model) & Asus H87-Pro (2013 model) = Great! :(

Well, front audio's on you, if you don't even use it, no loss. (I never have but that's just me, my amp has a headphone jack so I never missed it.) You can just use the on-board audio too, they're actually quite good nowadays and you can then use the front audio connector if you want. Used to have an Audigy 2 I think it was a few years back, haven't used sound card since that died. Or get that patch cable to hook the Audigy to the front, you can blame Creative for going against what the rest of the world uses. Again, totally optional, you don't need it usually, speakers still get plugged into the card in the back. But again, if you're not using it, tie it off so it doesn't flop around and stall out a fan or something, it can happen.

As far as the speaker goes, yea, that little piezo dealie you showed earlier, plug that into the speaker connector. I haven't seen an old-style magnetic speaker in a while now except on the occasional budget chassis.

Front audio connector has often lower quality compared to the back port... note, you may as well buy a Creative Z OEM, they are quite cheap and the audio difference is notorious, highly recommended.

But not simultaneously with Audigy SE.. could be brilliant if onboard sound card was only responsable for front connectors ;)..also - if I connect to the bottom-left the hd audio cable and onboard won't work simultaneously with Audigy..it won't hurt anything ?

sorry....I LOL'd at this.   HD Audio is for the audio connectors...as already mentioned, lol not the PC speaker.

I've never tried it myself, never had a need, but pretty sure you can have them both active at the same time sure. Just need to tell the mixer which one you want active and all that. Of course that'll make the speaker setup a bit more complex as well.

If you plug the HD connector to the onboard audio, no, its not going to affect the Audigy at all. It's a different sound output on a different device. It won't "bleed" from one into the other.

Heh we were all first timers at one point. My first build wayyyyyy back, mixed up 5 and 12 volts. Oooo blue smoke. That can't be good.
