Not impressed honestly, anyone who uses DDOS instantly loses 99% respect points. The skill level to do that is 0.

He claims to have written the program, if this is true it required some skill.

Regardless, I don't consider that 'cracking/hacking'. It's the internet equivalent of ordering 50 Pizza's to your nemesis' home address. It's inconvenient but ultimately does nothing and requires zero intelligence. At least he isn't as bad as the 13 year old script kiddies using the programs and telling their friends they have elite computer skills (downloading and running a program).

Ditto -- I also question any "patriots" who also have a fairly large line of merchandise for sale.. "I did this because I think such and such is evil... now buy my t-shirt."

It's pretty close.. it doesn't require a ton of skill to program a DDOS app that checks in to a master server or nodes and can send ICMP or trash data to a specific IP.

just no.

giving relevance to him is like fueling a fire, it won't do any good; I've meet enough hackers (back in the days) to know that some, while highly intelligent and talented, are very anti social, arrogant and hypocritical; others just live on they own world and simply don't care. There, i said it.

You all have made judgements on the guy without even knowing anything about him.

I will be doing the interview for another site anyway. I thought being a tech site here some might be interested

Hello,

I would be interested in reading an interview with him.  Here are some questions I think you should ask him:

  1. How did you learn about using computers for cracking, hacking, DDoS and so forth?
  2. What is (are?) your criteria for selecting a 'target'?  Are there certain types of sites that you will not target?
  3. What are three steps a site should take to avoid/deflect getting taken offline by a DDoS?
  4. According to your Wikipedia entry, you worked in Afghanistan as a contractor.  Can you tell us what some of your duties and responsibilities were in this position?
  5. What do you think about Bradley Manning's trial?
  6. Have you looked at any of the material Edward Snowden has released, and, if so, what are your thoughts on it?
  7. If there was one thing you could get people to do to make their computer more secure, what would that be?

Regards,

Aryeh Goretsky

They made judgements based on his public actions and his public statements for why he did said actions.

The judgement he's gotten,he's deserved and earned fairly by being a jackass.

Good luck getting him to agree to do an interview first. But by all means go ahead and try.

I can't say I have a very high opinion of 'The Jester'. His attitude reeks too much of holier-than-thou.

I'm not entirely sure that it is just one person operating under this mask, could be a whole group pretending to be just one guy.

-Why do you think it's fair to block other peoples access or ruin other peoples fun to push your own agenda.

Any particular sites you want me to ask about?
