I have a spare ASUS P8H67-M Pro and i3 2100 that I want to set up as a seperate computer for Windows, for some of the games I can't play on Linux.
Now, to the issue:
I have spare G.Skill DDR3 1600 sticks. All of them 2 x 2GB pairs. I can plug 2 in, fine. But when I plug 4 in (for a full 8GB), it won't POST. So, maybe one of the RAM is bad, I test each stick on its own, using memtest. They all check out. Then I thought, might be a bad slot. Well, I put one stick on each slot, it seems to work OK. I can run it with 3 sticks (6GB) fine.
So does this board have like a limit of how many slots can be full? I remember I had this exact problem before. I never figured it out.
(Suggest I get 2 x 4GB, and I'll hit you with my shoe)
