NightScreams Posted August 10, 2013 Share Posted August 10, 2013 There are some servers that are basically flagrun only. No kills. Is it cheating? I guess Dice thinks so. I would sometimes play on them cause I found it relaxing and fun in a different way to just capture bases as everyone tries to disable each other without kills. I don't care that they reset my stats, just that if they consider it cheating then they shouldn't allow such servers to exist. PsychD Posted August 10, 2013 Share Posted August 10, 2013 Some have been shut down in the early days at least. You can't even restrict kits and weapons on your server, unless the ToS has changed. They have never been good at enforcing the rules over at DICE. So even if they are frowned upon don't expect anything to happen. But guess it can be used for powerleveling? Even though its irrelevant at this stage. I remember MCOM arming and disarming used to give extreme amounts of XP quickly allowing people to level up fast in the beginning. I noticed it some back in BF2142 along with some exploiting bugs and a few wallhacks in early BF3 but I haven't seen it at all lately. There really is not much incentive to be a headshot king anyway other than some weapon addon's. It's not Unreal Tourny or nothing, though i'm sure some kids get off on it. From what I understand, an actual working Aimbot is as much of a pain to get and sustainable as direct tv hack cards if you don't get banned from servers, the others are malware infested or fakes to get you to take surveys and do certain offers, makes sense since i'm sure it's a popular search term. Plus the lack of incentive to actually have one, I mean wow a lousy 100 points and some mostly crappy addon's. woot. I can get over 10k points just by helping team mates and capturing bases faster than the snipers just sitting there plunking. I'd be suprised if very many even bother which has to get boring quick i'd imagine, but again I haven't seen it at all since i picked the game back up a couople months ago. That is not even some poor joke, every time I've been on one I've had the worst experiences.But try to join bigger community servers, they are usually better moderated than most.
