Humble Origin Bundle

Fantastic bundle :)

I think Origin is crap (if you change the drive letter where your games are, you can't even make the app re-scan the old directory, you have to re-download it all again ), but I'll still bite for this :) Especially considering I only had Dead Space 2, and this comes with 1 and 3 only - perfect!

I guess they took that whole multi-platform indie idea and threw it out the window.

Its a special one where all the proceeds go to charities. Surely we can let it slide for something like that?

Since the beginning of Humble Bundle they have done Developer Specific Bundles, the one from last week was Deep Silver, it only had their games and they were only available for Windows, They have done it for a while now.

When it is Indie games and cross platform its the Humble Indie Bundle otherwise its named aptly for what it is.

They even had a Book bundle once.

Here is a list of the bundles in the past that i have purchased.

  • Humble Bundle Mojam
  • Humble Bundle for Android
  • Humble Bundle for Android 2
  • Humble Bundle for Android 3
  • Humble Bundle for Android 4
  • Humble Deep Silver Bundle
  • Humble Frozenbyte Bundle
  • Humble Indie Bundle 3
  • Humble Indie Bundle 4
  • Humble Indie Bundle 6
  • Humble Indie Bundle 7
  • Humble Indie Bundle V
  • Humble Introversion Bundle
  • Humble THQ Bundle
  • Humble Voxatron Debut

True, however; if you go into Options (or whatever it is) and change the directory to where ever you moved the games to, then go back to your Games list the client will act like the games are not installed.  Just click on Download and it should just do a quick update and your games will be available again.

The whole point, initially, was that the games were DRM free and available on Linux, Mac, and Windows, at least as often as possible. I don't recall a bundle from a single publisher before the THQ one that required some DRM format be used.

I mean, if they're using their good name to raise money for charity, that's great, but running an EA bundle just seems like a big shift from where they started.

That never worked for me :(

Does it really matter though? If they kept to that rule the bundles would become very far apart. Those ports don't produce themselves over night.

I'd much rather they do what they're doing now (Y).

Besides, there's like 10 bundles a week which do support Steam/Desura/Linux

Blech I hate EA, but I will support charity so have my money. I won't download any of these games, since I already own the ones I want from Steam.

This is a great bundle, props goto EA for actually showing some form of humanity by not only supporting charity but also giving us games at a price anyone can afford. But typical EA, their servers are overloaded again and Origin is pretty useless atm.

My humble bundle is bigger, but as you can see I couldn't resist the Humble Origin Bundle, what with Steam AND Origin keys. ;)

Took me nearly an hour just to activate one game :| Will wait for the traffic to calm down before doing the rest.

Yeah, me too. I have paid, but I will wait to generate my keys.

Wait, some of these keys activate on Steam?

If so, argh, I don't think it was clear enough on the website and I've already activated the keys on Origin now :(
