Windows 8.1 and the Store

In Windows 8 you could see when you had apps that needed updating and update them from the store.  I don't see that feature in the store of Windows 8.1.  How does 8.1 update its apps?

It updates them automatically.

While it does update them automatically by default I think that if you turn that off it should revert back to how it is in 8.

Thanks.  I didn't think of going into the store settings and GP007 is correct, you can change it to manual updates if you choose.

They did change the yes/no setting -- Windows 8 asks "automatically download?" but Windows 8.1 now asks "automatically install?"

 

I guess the next logical thing to ask is this:

If you disable the "automatic installation", does Windows still show you when app updates are available?

 

And the answer is yes. Via a counter on the live-tile of the Store app.
