patseguin Global Moderator Posted August 25, 2013 Global Moderator Share Posted August 25, 2013 Sorry if this has been stated already, but will users have to re-install Windows 8 in order to get 8.1 when it comes out on the store if they are running 8.1 preview now? I think I read that but I wanted to confirm. I'm a long time Technet member and it looks like I won't see it until October either. You can "upgrade" 8.1 preview to 8.1 RTM, but you will need to reinstall all your programs. Your personal files will remain intact.
