Rudy
Is there a reason news posts are being posted to twitter multiple times? I'm not talking about when there's an update but I've noticed some posts are just being posted over and over again. Also today I noticed an "ad" from neowin's account :/ Is it something that's going to become a recurrent thing?
Redmak Administrators Posted August 28, 2013 Administrators Share Posted August 28, 2013 Some Microsoft news will be retweeted after 12 hours. Is that what you mean?
Rudy
Some Microsoft news will be retweeted after 12 hours. Is that what you mean? Yes that's what i mean. Personally I have a twitter account that follows all the news sites I visit and I keep track of all the news through that and so far Neowin is the only site that does that and it's really annoying
Redmak Administrators Posted August 28, 2013 Administrators Share Posted August 28, 2013 We've disabled these automatic retweets. It will still happen every now and again (it's up to the editor to do this manually)

Rudy
And just now the headline "Microsoft to buy Nokia's..." was duplicated on the feed after a mere 46 mins :/ It's too much for me, way too annoying...
Steven P. Administrators Posted September 3, 2013 Administrators Share Posted September 3, 2013 The only way a Twitter feed goes out again after 45mins is because the headline has been updated, then that Tweet is replaced (older one deleted). I might be missing something but I don't see any updates (Yes I know it replaces the old one but my client still shows both)
Rudy
I had to unfollow this morning, created too much junk in my news feed. Every other news site I follow never post stuff more than once, it was getting annoying
Steven P. Administrators Posted October 3, 2013 Administrators Share Posted October 3, 2013 Tweets are only ever reposted within 24 hours if the title or tags are updated, never older ones anymore. This update was applied two days ago. I had to unfollow this morning, created too much junk in my news feed.
