Here's an interesting test I took recently:

Social Attitude Test

Please answer the poll with your results so we can gauge Neowin's sensibilities. The scores are on a scale of 0 to 100 with 0 being one extreme of the scale and 100 being the opposite extreme. For instance on socialism, 0 is radical capitalism and 100 is communism.

I'll start off with my results:

Political Values

Radicalism 63.75
Socialism 50
Tenderness 71.875

These scores indicate that you are a tender-minded moderate progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with an animal rights activist. It appears that you are moderate towards religion, and have a balanced attitude towards humanity in general.

Your attitudes towards economics appear neither committedly capitalist nor socialist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a political centrist.

To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a pragmatist with few strong opinions.

I must say I'm absolutely not an animal rights activist but that's just an illustration being given.

Political Values

Radicalism 96.75
Socialism 100
Tenderness 53.125

These scores indicate that you are a progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a university professor. It appears that you are skeptical towards religion, and have a pragmatic attitude towards humanity in general.

Your attitudes towards economics appear communist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as left-wing.

To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, an idealist with several strong opinions.

Apart from the professor, fairly accurate. I think my economic attitude is more socialist than communist though.

I probably haven't taken an "online test" like that since about 1997, but since that web site looks like it fell out of 1997 I thought, why not?

Radicalism 88.5
Socialism 56.25
Tenderness 56.25

These scores indicate that you are a progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a university professor. It appears that you are skeptical towards religion, and have a pragmatic attitude towards humanity in general.

And since I was bored I did another test, pretending to be some stereotypical Bible Belt resident:

Radicalism 6
Socialism 12.5
Tenderness 43.75

These scores indicate that you are a conservative; this is the political profile one might associate with a police officer. It appears that you are accepting of religion, and have a generally optimistic attitude towards humanity in general.

Your attitudes towards economics appear laissez-faire capitalist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as right-wing.

This concludes our analysis; we hope you found your results accurate, useful, and interesting.

I wouldn't consider those choices to be centrist.

Pretty much I hate everybody. I also noticed that everyone who is against religion is pragmatic towards humanity in general or unsympathetic in my case. It seems skewed to have an unfavorable results for people who are not religious.

These scores indicate that you are a tough-minded moderate progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a liberated atheist. It appears that you are cynical towards religion, and have a suspicious and unsympathetic attitude towards humanity in general.

This doesn't seem too far from what I'm like. I'd like to think I can see things from all side and I'm sympathetic to others, no matter how radically they seem.
