Question

Anybody know of any YouTube like service for video?  Either software on a private server that will convert it and allow it to stream or a cloud based system that does all that?  Could come in handy for Insurance Companies that take in video on claims.

Doesn't YouTube allow you to set videos as private?

Yes it does... but OP wants own video server for authorized agents to view the private videos within the company.. (and/or share the private videos via the links)...

Which is entirely possible with youtube and setting the video to private and sharing or link only.

It might not be legal though.  For instance, data protection laws in the EU don't allow companies to store data containing personal information on non-EU servers.

if you want to run your own site to share video, 2 come to mind clipbucket and phpmotion

Or something like gallery3 works as well - I share all my home videos of my grand daughter for the family on a gallery3 setup. But the clipbucket and phpmotion scripts are more suited for lots of people sharing with channels and such.
