At E3 in June, Microsoft showed off a teaser trailer for its Halo game it is making for the Xbox One game console. It showed what looked like Master Chief walking on a desert world and, at the end, encountering a rather large enemy coming out of the sands.
Microsoft didn't offer any more information about the game at that time, but now it appears that the company may have briefly leaked the first concrete story details on the Xbox One Halo game. AllGamesBeta managed to take a screenshot of the pre-order page for the game on the Microsoft Store website before the story information was taken down.
The page stated:
In possession of a mysterious data chip, Petty Officer John-117, aka Master Chief, confronts a new battery of challenges and tests in a Herculean effort to stay alive in a galaxy where sentient life is mercilessly hunted.Yes, that is pretty vague, but it's better than nothing. Microsoft's in-house development team 343 Industries is currently working on the Halo game for Xbox One, which at the moment does not yet have a proper title. The game is expected to be released for Microsoft's next generation console in late 2014.
