When I create a word doc on my google drive, then share it with a friend to Edit, I ensure “can edit” is enabled. Then share. She receives an email about it, clicks on the link, the doc opens for preview. I want her to make edits so she goes file, Open with, google docs, it then opens and she make a few edits which automatically save. However, it does not add anything to my doc, instead its creating a new doc by the same name in her google drive.
Where am I going wrong? I had assumed her comments would just auto update my doc, perhaps not??
