BF4 on X1 at PAX Running on PC's

Recommended Posts

I was at Eurogamer in London yesterday and i was playing in a huge LAN on Battlefield 4 for 10 minutes, we were all told we were some of the first gamers in the UK to actually play BF4 on an actual X1 console.

The game played and looked awesome in my opinion, the graphics looks so good compared to BF3, it really did look nextgen to me compared to current gen consoles.

I have no idea what the resolution was for this game and frame rate but i left the show extremely satisfied and any doubts that i may have had whether i was doing the right thing in going for an X1 quickly subsided!

As for the controller i loved it, and for anyone that doesn't know the X1 controller has impulse triggers which means each trigger independently vibrate at appropriate times and the rumble experienced was pretty powerful, i loved it.

Roll on November 22nd as i want the console now! :)

It's nice to hear from someone who has picked up the controller and actually play a game on the actual hardware.

Was there any frame drops, or tearing, etc... Will Xbox owners be satisfied with BF4 on the Xbox One?

From my 10 minutes playing standing 12inches from the monitor, i didn't see any tearing or frame drops, in my eyes it looks fantastic with great everything, i am really really happy with it as that is a game i was planning on buying for the X1 and i was concerned how it would look as i saw a clip of the PS4 version online a few months ago and i thought that looked rough, although watching things online is very different from in person.

Can't wait for the X1 now after seeing how perfect(in my eyes) Forza and BF4 looked and played. :)

I think X1 owners will be satisfied with the X1 although it would be nice to be able to compared to the PS4 as well.

Note to self... Day 1 purchases for the Xbox One:

BF4

KI

NBA 2K14

*Below

*Watch Dogs (Ubisoft games drops their prices so quickly, not sure if I should bother at launch)

* = not sure if going to bother day one...

Not a bad start to my next gen collection...
