#Michael
I know that these 2 devices are quite different from each other BUT I am torn between either of them. I haven't had an android phone since the moto atrix and haven't decided if I want one again but I can't help thinking that the Note 3 is damn sexy. On the other hand I have a lot invested in the apple ecosystem and not sure I am willing to give that up. Any non-fanboy, non flame bait, actual useful thoughts or comments? techbeck
If both have the apps you need and you dont mind either OS, then the choice is really about size and if a pen is something you will use. Draconian Guppy
After being an avid iPhone user, iPhone 4, 4s and 5... I HATE iTUNES, i HATE iOS... so there. BUTT if you have an ecosystem built on apple? BUTT from my point of view... after going to android "openness" I don't think I can ever go back to closed iOS :/ I personally think the note 3 is to big, i'd go for a LG G2, HTC one or SG4 :P
StandingInAlley
I wouldn't go for either. I would pick an HTC one instead.

All of my usage of it is on my ios device and all backups are done through icloud. Cannot tell you the last time I really used itunes.
Growled Member Posted September 11, 2013 Member Share Posted September 11, 2013 It depends on what you want and need. The Note 3 has a huge screen and is great for watching videos, plus it ties into nicely with all things Google. The Apple phone is great if you love the Apple ecosystem. Blackhearted
I wouldn't go for either. I would pick an HTC one instead. I wouldn't. Being HTC they'll probably abandon support for it within a few months or so.

I had an Outlook email app at one time and I believe you can get a Bing app to.

SMELTN
I agree 100% with the others. Man the note 3 is a dang sexy phone.. If you aren't tied into an ecosystem right now. Its all about screen size and specs and the 5s and Note 3's specs wise are very close.. Its all about that HUGE screen compared to the normal sized 4inch iPhone screen. Both ecosystems are great and well polished. iOS is still easier to develop for, so in most cases iOS gets the apps first, then Android, but that shouldn't really matter for most consumers. I am a network admin also. I have a lumia 920 as my phone (office and integrated skydrive rocks for work) , a note 10.1 for work, and a dell xps 10 at home. Before you buy any phone I would try towait to see if nokia announces the 1520 this month. it is supposed to have a 20 megapixel camera that uses the same tech as the 1020. My wife has an iPhone and I find generally the apps are just of a wee bit better quality but not enough to lose any sleep over.

Astra.Xtreme
Ask yourself this: Do you not mind having a gigantic phone that you can't comfortably fit in your pocket? I'm sure the phone itself works well, but the shear size of the thing is the biggest reason I personally would never want that phone.
techbeck
Personally, I would look more towards the Moto X or a Nexus device. Plain/vanilla android and will get the updates faster than any other OEM.
Deihmos
Seen it, love it, not convinced though of the long term commitment of HTC. I would also recommend the HTC One. The software is so much better and the phone is butter smooth. My wife has the S4 and that phone is pure lag. There is just too much going on with the Samsung software
