what kind of cat is Loki?

He is a Bengal which is a cross between an Asian Leopard Cat and domestic. So both of his parents are Bengals. Linux is an F1 Bengal meaning his father was a full Asian Leopard Cat:

This is Linux's father, Rumor:

They can be quite expensive, a couple thousand but we know and help a local breeder. If you haven't researched the breed, I would definitely do that especially if you want an early generation (F1, 2, 3). They are a real handful. They still are wild in many ways and can get worse without proper socialization.

  • 10 months later...

My brother has a cat that looks a lot like Linux there.  It's some kind of a domesticated Asian leopard mix or something that's supposed to get up to like 20 pounds or something.  They look pretty cool.

What breed is Acer?  I've seen dogs like that before but can't quite place the name of the breed.

Here's some photos of our pets to date.

Here's the house dog, Itsy.  We named her "Itsy Bitsy" because we got her as a newborn, half pomeranian and half pekingese, and she was so small she could run around and play on the dash of the truck.  This one was actually taken yesterday.  I was getting ready to head down the road to go help my dad with some work he needed done, and as soon as I started my pickup truck and turned around to do something, she jumped in, my little boy crawled in and sat down, and my fox hound jumped in the bed.  Apparently everybody needed a break from mom so they jumped in dad's truck to go for a ride, :p  She is probably one of the smartest dogs I have ever had the privilege of caring for, hands down.  I can tell her to go to a specific room in the house and she'll go.  When we lay down in bed at night she burrows under the blankets and sleeps on our feet.  If one of the kids gets up at night and we don't hear them, she'll wake us up, and if a car she doesn't recognize comes down the driveway she lets us know.

This is Savage, my Hound.  I named him Savage after Savage Sam, the sequel to Old Yeller.  I thought about naming him Sam, but when I was little we had another dog named Sam so I decided to name him Savage.  I've never used him as a hunting dog.  I came across him at 4 months old at the local stock yard on a chain with a bunch of other dogs.  He was extremely skinny and I could tell he had worms, but he was lively and active and my little boy who was 2 at the time just fell in love with him.  Once we got him home though, my little boy lost interest, but Savage took up with me and he goes just about everywhere with me.  Even if I'm just going to town I'll put him in the back of the truck and let him go along for the ride.  He also makes a pretty good guard dog.  If I'm outside with you, or if he knows you, he's the friendliest dog you'll ever meet, but if I'm not around and he doesn't know you, you'd better stay in your car if you don't want to get bit.  If my little boy is running around he will stick close to him and keep an eye on him, and I've seen him tackle dogs twice his size and put them on the run for getting to close to the creek that is our property line.  This picture was taken about 10 minutes ago.  I decided to bring him in and pet on him for a few minutes before I laid down.

This is Savage about a month after I got him.  When we first got him you could feel the bones in the back of his skull.  A month of good food and some worm pills and he had already filled out really well.

This is my leopard gecko.  I named him Reptar after the dinosaur from Rugrats.  He's pretty chill.  He just likes to sit under his heat lamp all day, eat crickets and just do lizard stuff.

Linux, as with most Bengals, won't get much bigger than his current weight of about 9 lbs.

Acer looks like a red border collie.  Am I right?

He is an Aussie - Australian Shepard.

Now that I've been reminded of this thread, I'll post some updated pics and a new addition, Keto who is also an Aussie:

Keto at about 8 weeks:

I like the picture of the 8 week old dog. Wish they stayed that size and I would get one. Is there a way to keep them from evolving into larger pok?mons?

Also, your orange cat is very alert.
