iCloud Ctrl Panel now syncs bookmarks to IE/Chrome/Firefox

Recommended Posts

The new version of iCloud Control Panel for Windows now also syncs your bookmarks with IE, Chrome, and Firefox, since Safari for Windows does not exist anymore.

iCloud also keeps your Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Google Chrome bookmarks on Windows in sync with your Safari bookmarks on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Mac.

yeah and it works really well, i love safari on iOS, tried chrome but got annoyed with a couple of features. Having bookmarks sync across everything is a big bonus! Very quick sync too, no waiting ages for it to upload / download plus no errors (touch wood) so far.

yeap definitely works!!!  2 things though.. Couple of things if you are a chrome user on your desktop

First you have to download the extension off the Chrome web store..  https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/icloud-bookmarks/fkepacicchenbjecpbpbclokcabebhah

Also make sure you open your icloud control panel found in your taskbar and click options on bookmarks and select chrome

My only complaint is, as you can see from my screen shot that on my chrome bookmarks bar I have removed the name from most of my links. Those are the sites I visit the most and I know which sites they are by their favicon instead of having to have the long name next to it which saves space..  Problem is, with the sync feature it shows those links as NO_TITLE as seen below.. So you definitely will have to name them
