Based on that, THE_OBSERVER is correct. He didn't find the ticket (find implies he was either searching for it, or it was lost), he remembered he had it in his glove box and decided to go retrieve it.

 

Finding it would be if he knew he bought one but couldn't remember where he put it and, after searching his car, he found it in the glove box.

He found out that he had a winning ticket for $1 million -- which he did not know before.

 

Odd how no one here has any congrats for him, winning a lot of money. :laugh:

^ I've done that.

 

I tend to be slow checking them, to kind of keep up the 'hope'.

 

And I put the ticket in a safe place, that is out of sight, and forget.
