moeburn Posted September 20, 2013 Share Posted September 20, 2013 Does anyone here own one of those couch mice, like the Logitech M515 Couch Mouse, or one of those "media center friendly" Microsoft mice? Apparently they have special pads on the bottom that prevent them from sliding off a fabric armrest, while at the same time being smooth enough to feel no different to using a normal mouse on a normal surface. Well I use my computer from a couch, and my mouse slides off the arm rest about 5 times a day. I already broke my last mouse because of that. Without having to buy another one, I was hoping I could DIY something similar, but it would be nice to know how they did it. I tried velcro pads, but that was too grippy. Any ideas? They're just as likely to slide off (and frequently do) from the armrest as any other mouse. What is nice is that the bottom is entirely closed and rounded off unlike a regular mouse so you wont snag it on any fabric. Battery life is great, use mine daily for about a year now and havent changed the battery. One thing that takes a little getting used to if you use the middle click button frequently is that the actual button for middle click is located below the scroll wheel rather than on it. It'll only take a couple days before you dont even think about about it anymore though. It's an all around great mouse the only real problem with it is the battery cover is fairly loose and comes off every so often. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
