Nucky has cheated death yet again.

 

HBO has renewed Boardwalk Empire for a fifth season, the cabler announced Thursday.

 

The pickup comes three weeks after the show?s Season 4 premiere, and less than one week after Bobby Cannavale scored an Emmy upset when he took home the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series trophy for his one-season Empire role as deranged loose cannon Gyp Rosetti.
